QP Members' Bonuses Exceed 48 Million Drams

The total fund for bonuses awarded to members of the 'Civil Contract' faction on the occasion of the Constitution Day has reached 48 million 811 thousand 320 drams. This information was reported by Hetq.am based on a response from the Parliament's press service to an inquiry.

It is noted that the deputies were rewarded with an amount equivalent to one monthly salary of their official rate. Depending on their administrative position, the salaries of the deputies vary; for instance, the salary of the chairman of a permanent committee is 793,680 drams (including taxes), while the deputy chairman receives 694,470 drams (including taxes), and a deputy without an administrative position receives 661,140 drams (including taxes).

The Parliament has refused to provide the annex to the decree signed by the Speaker of the National Assembly, citing personal data protection.

Recall that earlier, the spokesperson for the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, mentioned in an interview that the opposition had not been awarded bonuses due to unexcused absences. Additionally, it was revealed yesterday that Simonyan has initiated a process to deprive the opposition of their mandates, and a session of the National Assembly council will soon be convened with this agenda.
