Video: Morning Walk of a Grey Bear and Its Cubs in Syunik

The morning stroll of a grey bear and her cubs in the protected areas of the "Zangezur" biosphere complex, managed by the Ministry of Environment.

The video was published on the Facebook page of the "Zangezur" biosphere complex. It is noted that the species is included in the IUCN Red List (ver. 3.1) with a "Least Concern" status. According to the criteria of the IUCN Red List, it is assessed as "Vulnerable" - VU B2ab(iii,iv).

It is important to remember that there are legal consequences for killing a grey bear registered in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia, which is punishable under the Criminal Code with a fine of 400-600 times the minimum wage or imprisonment for 2-3 months, along with compensation for damages ranging from 1 to 5 million drams.
