Ruben Vardazaryan Questioned

According to reports, a criminal case has been initiated against Gagik Jhangiryan based on a recording released by the former president of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Armenia, Ruben Vardazaryan. Following the initiation of the criminal proceedings, the Investigative Committee of Armenia summoned Ruben Vardazaryan for questioning as a witness yesterday.

Furthermore, according to information obtained by the Zhoghoyroud daily, the investigator from the Investigative Committee requested Vardazaryan to provide the complete version of the recording. However, Ruben Vardazaryan refused to present it.

The newspaper attempted to clarify the information with Vardazaryan, to which he confirmed: “I was invited and questioned as a witness. They asked me to present the full version of the recording, and I replied that I would not provide it under any circumstances. That’s all.”

It is noteworthy that days after the controversial recording and Gagik Jhangiryan's somewhat incomprehensible interview, it was announced that he was facing health issues and had undergone surgery. It became apparent that Jhangiryan resigned under the guise of health problems, causing further confusion for the Supreme Judicial Council.
