Numerous Instagram and Facebook Accounts are Being Hacked in Armenia: Martirosyan Offers Recovery Tips

Unfortunately, I did not imagine the scale of hacked Instagram and Facebook profiles in Armenia. This was stated by information security expert Samvel Martirosyan on his Facebook page:

“Unfortunately, I did not imagine the scale of hacked Instagram and Facebook profiles in Armenia. There are an incredible number of accounts being hacked. And it is continuous; there is no pause. People are terribly careless about the security of their accounts. A person can invest a lot of money, create a shop on Instagram, and lose it in a minute because they do not think about security. It's like opening a shop in real life but not only not having a lock on the door, but not even having a door at all.

School kids’ accounts are being hacked by the tons, their messages are exposed, and embarrassing Photoshop edits are made, and so on, and so on...

Recovering a hacked account is very difficult, mostly impossible. It’s a matter of luck. Therefore, it’s better not to let it get to that point. Do not enter your password through any unknown link. Do not participate in unclear competitions. Do not believe that you have won something. Do not trust every alarming message supposedly from Facebook or Instagram. If you are entering a password, double-check that the address is indeed that of the social network, and not something similar. Is it difficult? I honestly do not understand.
