The Mayor of Nerkhin Hand has Explained Why He Did Not Greet Anna Hakobyan

The Mayor of Nerkhin Hand, Khachatur Baghdasaryan, did not greet Anna Hakobyan due to health problems. Baghdasaryan stated this in a conversation with NEWS.am.

“I have health issues and was unable to greet her. However, I know that the villagers welcomed her and asked questions, but I am not yet aware of what was discussed. If I could, I would have definitely welcomed her as I also had questions,” said Baghdasaryan.

It is recalled that Anna Hakobyan has been in the Syunik region since July 6. She has visited several communities, particularly her visit to Kapan stirred controversy as the community leader, Manvel Paramazyan, welcomed her with flowers. Paramazyan, who was imprisoned during Pashinyan's time, faced criticism for this act, including from members of the “Reviving Armenia” party. It was later revealed that Paramazyan is no longer a member of that party.
