Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has died following an attack on him. This was reported by RIA Novosti. The political figure passed away at Nara Medical University Hospital. He was 67 years old.

Recall that the attack on him occurred at 11:30 AM local time in Nara city during his street speech. The assailant shot him twice in the back from a distance of 10 meters, and after the second shot, the former prime minister fell. He was injured in the neck and chest area. The shooter was apprehended at the scene.
