The extraordinary session initiated by the government on July 6 continues its work in the National Assembly of Armenia. During the second reading, a number of draft laws accepted in the first reading the previous day will be discussed, including amendments and additions to the law of the Republic of Armenia on Defense. Additionally, a package of related draft laws will be presented, which stipulates that the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia will, by default, be the First Deputy Minister of Defense.

The draft law on amendments and additions to the law on Military Service and the status of servicemen will also be discussed in the second reading.
