Iran and Azerbaijan Discuss Construction of Hydroelectric Power Plants on Araks River

On July 6, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev met with Iranian Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian. The discussions focused on the work being done towards the integration of the electric power systems of the two countries.

Exchanges of views took place regarding the progress of the construction of the "Khudaferin" and "Giz Galasi" hydroelectric power plants on the Araks River, as well as several new projects that will be implemented considering the new realities in the region.
