VIDEO: 'He Did Not Let Anyone Approach.' Director of Garni Reserve on Kirkorov's Visit

It is known that among others, Russian show business star Philip Kirkorov was recently in Armenia to attend the wedding of businessman Samvel Aleksanyan's daughter. He also visited Garni and Geghard, posting videos on his Instagram page and in the Stories section.

Aravot.am inquired with Vahe Isipyand, the director of the Garni Museum-Reserve, whether the staff recognized Philip Kirkorov and if they tried to properly present the monument to him. He stated that Kirkorov stayed very briefly in Garni before heading to Geghard.

"They bought tickets and entered, they wandered around for about 10 minutes and left. But I know that they welcomed him with zurna and dhol in Geghard. He stayed with us for very little time, did not meet with anyone, reached near the temple and left. The people and the staff recognized him, approached him wanting to take photos, but he did not let anyone close," said Vahe Isipyand.
