Video: Strong Wind Hits Yakutia Sports Event, 18 Injured

During sports games in the village of Borogonzy, Yakutia, a strong wind caused havoc, damaging pavilions, structures, and decorations. As a result of the incident, 18 people were injured, including three children, as reported by the head of the republic.

“Due to the strong wind, there was a collapse of screens and decorations at the sports games in Borogonzy. A total of 18 people were injured, including three children. They are currently receiving all necessary medical assistance,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The deputy head of the rescue service and head of the operational staff informed reporters that the injured individuals sustained minor injuries, with no broken bones reported. He noted that several columns fell due to the bad weather, and recovery efforts are currently underway.

In connection with the incident, the Republic's Prosecutor's Office has begun an investigation. The prosecutor of the Ust-Alan district has traveled to the scene.
