Video: Russians Arrive to Punish Armavir Resident, Intriguing Details

The Investigative Committee of Armenia's Special Cases Division has revealed all circumstances surrounding a case of hooliganism involving the use of weapons in the Armavir community. Charges have been brought against 29 individuals.

The Committee reports that an extensive investigation uncovered facts regarding a 29-year-old resident of the Russian Federation who, due to an altercation over domestic issues with a 28-year-old resident of Armavir, had strained relations with the latter. During clarifications of these issues abroad, conflicts ensued between the parties, leading to the 29-year-old and his friend returning to Armenia on November 4, 2021, with the intention of punishing the Armavir resident publicly.

To this end, the 29-year-old and his uncle gathered supporters on November 19, 2021, arming them with metal and wooden sticks and firearms. Subsequently, the group members determined the number and location of the Armavir resident's supporters in accordance with their pre-arranged agreement to publicly punish him.

During this time, the 28-year-old resident and two supporters of the 29-year-old had phone conversations, but no clear resolutions were made. Afterward, to publicly punish the Russian resident, the 28-year-old gathered his supporters at the company office on Jivanu Street in Armavir, armed with firearms, clubs, and other items, awaiting the opposing side.

The investigation revealed that upon learning the exact location of the Armavir resident, the 29-year-old and his uncle approached the aforementioned office with their supporters in different vehicles, surrounding it from both sides.

Upon noticing the approaching vehicles, members of the group inside the office launched an attack, while the others retaliated. During the incident, metal rods, clubs, and other items were used. According to the collected evidence, two close associates of the 29-year-old fired shots from their firearms at the 28-year-old and his supporters, threatening to commit violence against them, while one supporter of the 28-year-old also fired shots at members of the opposing side, threatening with violence.
