You Will Receive Information That Has Never Been Covered: A Statement from the Heads of the NSS Reserve Officers

The Union of Reserve Officers of the National Security Service (NSS) has issued a statement announcing that they are launching a new initiative.

“In April 2022, we presented a report on our activities over the past year. The retrospective shows that interest in the activities of our organization is growing, bringing us recognition as a platform for balanced thought and speech that assesses reality soberly. Trusting us, people want to know more about the NSS’s activities, the work accomplished, the biographies of long-serving and earned colleagues, and the paths they have traversed. They want to hear balanced and correct assessments of domestic and foreign developments and receive comprehensive information on public interest cases and events that have involved the NSS.

We value this process highly, as it contributes to enhancing the credibility of the NSS organization and its employees, fostering a generation dedicated to the homeland, and breaking down stereotypes—the misconception that the organization is merely an instrument of repression in the hands of the government.

To achieve these aforementioned objectives and to make our communication with you more direct, we have decided to launch a new initiative: to present the biographies of our founders, board members, and individual participants, detailing their paths, and providing information about widely reported events that took place during their service, along with some specifics related to participant experiences that our colleagues have had the opportunity to engage with personally. In other words, we aim to familiarize you with documented facts, of course, without violating any thresholds of state, service, personal, and other types of secrecy. Through these publications, you will receive information that has never been covered before.

We are considering two options for publishing these materials: in the form of a book, which will require not only a considerable amount of time but also additional financial resources, a scarcity we have experienced throughout our operational period; or continuing to disseminate the publications on our website, presenting the available materials gradually.

Since we particularly value your opinion and are more than interested in making the publications engaging and meaningful, we kindly ask you to respond to the following two questions:

1. Which specific time periods, events, cases, and individuals would you like us to address more deeply?

2. Should the publications be in book format or electronic format?
