Onik Gasparyan Must Answer 2 Questions to Understand the Reasons for the 44-Day War Loss: Ghazinyan

The true reasons behind the loss (betrayal) in the 44-day war can be found if the former Chief of the Armenian General Staff, Onik Gasparyan, answers two questions. This was stated by Arthur Ghazinyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, on his Facebook page.

He also mentioned: “1. Why was there no announcement of first combat readiness in the Armenian Armed Forces and the Artsakh Defense Army on September 25? 2. Why was no order for the mobilization (deployment) of the Armenian Armed Forces given?”

Let me remind you, Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly that military intelligence was aware of the impending attack beginning on the 27th of September back on September 25, but the Chief of the General Staff did NOT issue an order for first combat readiness or deployment, instead calling for vigilance.

On September 27, 2020, only the 3rd Army Corps was brought to first combat readiness and deployed on its commander’s independent decision. No troop mobilization took place in the remaining army corps; soldiers remained in their units, while weapons and ammunition stayed in storage.

I am almost convinced that these critically important actions were not carried out on the direct instruction of Nikol Pashinyan, and Onik Gasparyan can provide evidence of that. If he does not present it, then he will confirm that he is either completely incompetent or a state traitor. All guilty parties will be held accountable; justice will be served, and the blood shed by our boys will not go unpunished...”
