Boris Johnson Becomes Honorary Citizen of Odesa

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has been awarded the title of honorary citizen of Odesa and has received three honorary awards named after Grigory Marazli from the mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov. "I have signed a decree awarding Prime Minister Boris Johnson with the honorary badges named after Grigory Marazli. Thus, he becomes the honorary citizen of Odesa," said the city's mayor (quote from Segodnya portal).

Trukhanov noted that Johnson is the first British citizen to receive the honorary title of Odesa since 1862, throughout the city's entire history. The mayor also expressed gratitude to the UK Prime Minister for financial and military support.
