33 Countries Propose to Tighten Sanctions Against Russian Sports
Sport ministers from 33 countries have signed a document proposing new sanctions against Russia and Belarus. This was announced, as reported by Armsport.am referencing TACC, by Poland's Minister of Sport and Tourism Kamil Bortniczuk.
The proposal concerns the status of Russian and Belarusian sports federations in international organizations, as well as the representation of the two countries in governing bodies.
Additionally, it suggests examining the issue of broadcasting international sporting events in Russia and Belarus.
The joint document has been approved by politicians from 25 European Union countries (all except Bulgaria and Hungary), as well as the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Norway, and Canada.
