Where Will the Residents of Aghavnadzor Be Relocated? Artsakh Ombudsman Mentions Settlements

Currently, no evacuation work is being carried out for the residents of Berdzor and other communities. This was stated by the Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanian during a public-professional discussion titled "Modern Challenges of Artsakh: The Surrender of Berdzor, A New War?" as reported by Artsakhpress.

He noted that he had contacted representatives of these communities the day before and that there is no information regarding their relocation. "First and foremost, the authorities of Artsakh must take care of their residents, and I find it impossible for the situation to arise where these people end up hostages. Steps are being taken in this regard," he emphasized.

According to Stepanian, both the residents of Berdzor and Aghavnadzor benefit from the same privileges established for displaced persons. "I have certain information that among the possible options being discussed is the relocation of the residents of Aghavnadzor to the communities of Hin Shen and Mets Shen, while for the residents of Berdzor, the same programs that apply to other displaced persons will be implemented. It is possible that they will be provided with housing in Armenia. There are many questions at this moment," the official from Artsakh noted.
