VIDEO: "We gave Davtyan one day to fulfill our demand". Relatives of fallen servicemen conclude the protest
The meeting was very short as we presented only one demand: to transfer the case to the National Security Service (NSS). This was stated today, on June 30, during a protest action by the relatives of fallen servicemen, by the parent of a fallen serviceman, Vigen Azatyan, who elaborated on the just-concluded meeting with the Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan.
"It was not a discussion or a Q&A, but a demand that we clearly communicated, stating that the case must be sent to the NSS, and we did not even expect a response. He has one day to comply," Azatyan noted.
It should be reminded that the relatives of fallen servicemen were protesting in front of the Prosecutor's Office, wanting to meet with Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan. Their demand is that the Prosecutor's Office transfers the case opened under Article 308, Part 2 (abuse of official powers resulting in serious consequences) to the NSS.
They also demand that the case be investigated under Article 299 regarding state treason, that Nikol Pashinyan be summoned for questioning, and that he be included as a defendant in the case.
Later, the Prosecutor's Office suggested that two people go upstairs, but the parents refused, insisting on a minimum of eight parents present.
The Prosecutor's Office stated that ten parents could go upstairs, but without the presence of media and without phones.
