VIDEO: Mi-8 Aircraft Makes Hard Landing, Casualties Reported

In Yakutia, a Mi-8 aircraft that made a hard landing had 23 people on board, with 15 reported injured. Among the injured, two are in serious condition, while the others are reported to have severe and moderate injuries, according to the regional health ministry. All individuals aboard the helicopter have been transferred to the regional capital, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Earlier, Avialesookhrana dispatched 150 paratroopers from the Transbaikal Territory and Buryatia to Yakutia to combat forest fires.

Dmitry Sadovnikov, the first deputy head of the republic's government, stated that the most difficult situation regarding forest fires in Yakutia has developed in the Aldan, Ust-Maysk, and Mirny districts, where additional federal aviation forest protection forces will be sent.
