Macron Specifies Where Kyiv Cannot Use Weapons Sent by Paris

Weapons provided by Paris to Kyiv should never be used for attacking Russian territory. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron during a press conference following the NATO summit in Madrid, as reported by TASS.

“We will continue to arm and train within the operational framework. We will never attack the territory of the Russian Federation, but we will help defend Ukrainian territory and support its army,” he said.

Earlier, Macron had announced that NATO countries would strengthen their economic, humanitarian, and military assistance to Ukraine. According to him, alliance members have decided to increase the number of French military forces on the eastern flank, with Paris deploying a new brigade in Romania.

On June 29, NATO member state leaders adopted a new strategic concept, officially recognizing Russia as the greatest threat to the security of the North Atlantic alliance.
