Do Not Iron Your Sons' Shirts: What Pope Francis Spoke About

Pope Francis has urged mothers to encourage their sons to marry, as reported by Somerset Live. Francis made this remark during his speech at the International Families Meeting in Rome, dedicated to the preservation of family values.

“We see so many young people who lack the courage to get married; their mothers often come to me saying, ‘Do something, speak to my son, who is 37 and still not married.’ But, dear lady, don’t iron his shirts; take the first step by letting him leave the house, allow him to venture out from his family nest,” the pontiff said.

He also urged young men not to take the easy path and to avoid returning to their mothers during tough times.
