VIDEO: We Will Not Surrender Agavnoun, Andranik Kocharyan
Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the National Assembly's Civil Contract faction, sees a need for internal solidarity. "In a restless world, for Armenia to clearly envision the challenges ahead, first and foremost, solidarity is necessary in our country," he said during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.
The Civil Contract representative, recalling Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's words, stated that there is currently no threat of war. "At this moment, we do not see certain hotspots of tension along the border, but we must always conduct our actions and implement our reforms in such a swift and effective manner that the losses we sustained after the 44-day war have a clear recovery process," Kocharyan added.
In response to a journalist's question on whether a war could start if Agavnoun is not surrendered to Azerbaijan, Andranik Kocharyan replied, "We must do everything possible to prevent a war. You keep talking about war, bringing the topic closer to the forefront; I understand very well why you are asking this question. Let’s work towards achieving peace, as our people need peace to heal their wounds. We will not surrender Agavnoun; you can pose such questions to the former leaders you serve."
