I Am Not a Doctor to Comment on What You Said: Serzh Sargsyan on Pashinyan's Press Conference

“I am not a doctor to comment on what you said. For that question, you can refer to narrow specialists in the field; they will provide an accurate diagnosis and express an opinion,” Armenian third President Serzh Sargsyan responded to a question from Aravot.am about his thoughts on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s press conference yesterday.

“But I can assure our people that I will tirelessly continue to present a substantiated and reasoned account of the negotiation process regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue from 2008 to 2018, regarding which none of the facts publicly voiced by me have been refuted, and in many cases, they have been confirmed by the participants of that process on various occasions. This is, in contrast to the many lies of the capitulator, who deliberately distorts the negotiation process, lies that have regularly been denied by the representatives of the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group.”

“Secondly, those trying to hide their ignorance, incompetence, and immoral stance are so entrenched in the swamp of deceit that they create for themselves, that with every new 'revelation' they only sink deeper into that foul swamp of lies, where they will undoubtedly meet their disreputable end.”

“Thirdly, the capitulator has ample opportunity in his imagined world, where it seems he often meets my 'son'—with my uncles who passed away at a very young age before I was born, and with their sons—and gathers detailed information about the shareholding of '90 percent of the companies in Armenia'. Moreover, the sooner he takes advantage of that opportunity, the better it will be for him and for all of us.”
