The Identity of Those Who Stole the Brass Book and Iron Bell Revealed

On June 20, the police received a report. The deputy director of the Khanko Apoyan National Children's Library informed that a brass book had been stolen from the statue of the "Reader" located in front of the building. The theft occurred within the past four days, but it was only noticed on that day.

During the same days, another similar theft took place on Sayat Nova Avenue, where an iron bell was stolen from in front of the Puppet Theatre. This information was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

It was revealed that the thefts were committed by a 32-year-old man residing on Kasyan Street in Vedi. As a result of further investigations, on the afternoon of June 23, he was found in Freedom Square in the capital and was taken to the Central Police Department. The man provided a confessional explanation, and the stolen items were discovered.

The police also established that a 38-year-old man without a registered address had participated in the thefts along with the resident of Vedi. On the same day, he was also located on Titogradyan Street in Yerevan, apprehended, and gave an explanation. The circumstances are being clarified through an investigation.
