My and the 'Resistance' Movement's Goals Coincide, but the Paths to Achievement are Different: Vanetsyan

I do not believe that the struggle has failed; it has not succeeded at this stage, but we will continue our fight and will definitely reach our goal. This was stated by Arthur Vanetsyan, the president of the Homeland Party, during a public broadcast.

“At this stage, we need to start a wide dialogue with the public, to talk to the people, to be in different neighborhoods of Yerevan and engage with people. People need to be heard and need to listen; we have to be honest, open, and transparent with them. The National Assembly is no longer the place where we should operate; that does not mean my other colleagues are wrong; perhaps I am the one who is mistaken. The people have given us a mandate to oust this government. My elector did not give me a mandate, for example, to discuss the law on mercury,” Vanetsyan said.

He noted that the “Honorary” faction in the National Assembly will remain, but members of the Homeland Party will not be represented in it. He emphasized that independent deputies are free in their decisions and can choose to stay in parliament or not.

“My and the 'Resistance' movement’s agendas and goals align, it's just that the paths to achieving them are different. The movement has had certain successes and some shortcomings, and thus has not yet reached its goal. The movement has prevented possible capitulatory documents and has shown that Pashinyan cannot make unilateral concessions nor engage in a second capitulation. This is a nationwide movement, similar to the Artsakh movement,” stated Vanetsyan.
