Video: Supreme Judicial Council Responds to Vardazaryan's Controversial Recording

The suspended president of the Supreme Judicial Council, Ruben Vardazaryan, held a meeting with journalists today where he released an exclusive recording of a conversation that took place on February 20, 2021, between him, Gagik Jhahngiryan, the acting president of the Supreme Judicial Council, and council member Stepan Mikayelyan.

The Supreme Judicial Council briefly addressed the issue, stating, "In response to inquiries from mass media, we announce that the details of the private conversation that took place around the bread table are not commented on by the acting president of the Supreme Judicial Council. We also inform you that the recording was made without Mr. G. Jhahngiryan's knowledge," as stated in the Supreme Judicial Council's announcement.

It is noteworthy that the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has also addressed the issue, announcing that the recording has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
