Video: The Current Opposition is Like Bank Robbers, Hayk Konjoryan
The National Assembly opposition is in a state of default. For forty days now, it has not participated in the activities of the National Assembly. This was stated by Hayk Konjoryan, the leader of the ruling Civil Contract faction, during the discussion of the execution of the 2021 state budget on June 15.
According to him, the opposition is failing to fulfill its obligations in any sector. “We have seen what a sad fate the opposition has experienced during these weeks. It cannot fulfill its commitments neither in the parliament, nor to the citizens who elected it, nor on the platform of parliamentary diplomacy. As it turned out, it is also failing in the streets,” said Konjoryan.
Speaking about the protests initiated by the Resistance Movement, the MP specifically noted that the opposition is trying to use the issue of Artsakh merely to come to power. “The current opposition has held Artsakh hostage for decades and is trying to seize power in Armenia by exploiting this issue,” stated the leader of the parliamentary faction.
