Putin's Speech Will Be 'Extremely Important': Peskov
Russian President Vladimir Putin's speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be extremely important, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.
Vladimir Putin will participate in the plenary session of SPIEF on June 17. His speech will be dedicated to anti-Russian sanctions, Peskov said.
“We are currently seeing how all these restrictions and sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation are impacting the prices of energy, food, and other goods. We are witnessing the consequences of mistakes made by many countries, which are becoming evident at the onset of a food crisis,” said Putin's spokesman, noting that the president's address at the forum will be 'extremely important.'
According to Peskov, “the economy has become a hostage of politics,” and various political figures in different countries have made numerous mistakes during the coronavirus pandemic, for which the world is now paying the price.
