Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Diver Recovers Woman's Body from Yerevan Lake
Today, on June 12, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 11:00 AM, the Shengavit Division of the Police and the 911 Emergency Management Center received a report that there was a body in Yerevan Lake.
According to shamshyan.com from the scene, an operational group led by the head of the Emergency Situations Ministry's Crisis Management Center, Arthur Vardanyan, promptly arrived. A short time later, rescuers from the Special Rescue Operations Center of the Emergency Situations Ministry's number 18 rescue team, along with team leader Karen Avetisyan, diver Khachaturo Muradyan, and several other rescuers, recovered the woman's body from Yerevan Lake.
Investigating officer D. Davtyan is preparing records on the incident. Several examinations have been appointed, including a forensic examination of the body. The police and investigative department are working to determine the identity of the deceased.
