The Match Score Does Not Reflect the Logic of the Game: Caparros on Yesterday's Match

In the third round of the UEFA Nations League B division, the Armenian national team faced Ukraine in Poland and suffered a significant defeat. The match ended with a score of 3-0.

After the match, our national team's head coach, Joaquin Caparros, held a press conference.

"I think the match score does not correspond to the logic of the game; it's too big of a score. But the game lasts for 90 minutes, and the guys expended a lot of energy. Bayramyan himself asked to be substituted, Edgar Babayan had a yellow card and is not used to playing 90 minutes, so we had to refresh our team. Unfortunately, with two goals against us, luck simply did not favor us. However, I am very pleased with the efforts put in by the guys. I continue to believe that playing four matches within ten days is barbaric; we need to think about the players, after all, they are human beings. I still insist that football is a game and luck plays an important role. Today, luck was not on our side. Almost two own goals were registered against our goal. The opponent could have scored an own goal as well, but it didn't happen. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the performance of the players who took to the field," said Caparros.
