Lavrov's Statement After the CSTO Foreign Ministers Meeting

The composition of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states should depend not on quantity, but on quality. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to reporters on Friday after a narrow-format meeting of CSTO foreign ministers in Yerevan, TASS reports.

“As for the quantitative composition of the CSTO, there is quantity and there is quality—both in terms of the countries that make up this or that geopolitical alliance and in terms of existing defense capabilities,” he said.
