Abrahamyan: Young People Abducted from the Front of Baghramyan 26 to Raise the Issue of the Captured

Member of the National Assembly’s "Honorary Duty" faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, made a statement regarding recent events.

"Today, police abducted Tatev Sogoyan and his brother right from in front of Baghramyan 26, simply because they dared to raise the issue of their uncle, Deputy Colonel of the Medical Service Hrant Papikyan, and our other captured compatriots. Hrant Papikyan was one of the most experienced doctors in the Armed Forces' medical service, who was the head of the medical service of the military unit deployed in the Hadrut direction during the 44-day war. His official position did not prevent Papikyan from personally heading to the fiercest battlefronts and bringing wounded soldiers out from the battlefield. One such incident tragically ended in him being first injured and then captured, and there has been no information about him since. However, in the conditions of the existing moral crisis in Armenia, certain brainless police officers allow themselves to detain Tatev and his brother by the dirtiest means. I will not send pointless calls and appeals to law enforcement; it is already clear who is who and whom they serve."
