Video: Lavrov on the Events in Parukh and the Actions of Peacekeepers

Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced during a press briefing after a private conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that they discussed security issues in light of tomorrow's CSTO meeting.

“Armenia continues to believe that the Russian peacekeeping mission is capable of restoring the status quo established by the November 9 statement in light of the situation that was violated by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces’ incursion into the village of Parukh on March 24,” said Mirzoyan.

Addressing the events in Parukh, Lavrov stated, “Russian military personnel continue to maintain this situation as one of their priorities. There have been certain results in terms of de-escalating this situation. We understand that these issues will definitely be addressed and resolved within the framework of the initial substantive work regarding delimitation.”
