Why Has the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Not Been Appointed for 3-4 Months? - Abrahamyan

Member of the "Armenia" faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "To the question of why the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces has not been appointed for 3-4 months, the Minister of Defense responds with a surprised face, saying, 'The acting head of the staff is fully exercising the powers of the Chief of Staff; I want to understand what the issue is.' If everything is normal, then why hasn’t the Minister of Defense been appointed as an acting minister, nor the Secretary of the Security Council, nor the head of the NSS, nor others? Perhaps you should change that too. Write that there is no point in appointing anyone as a minister and just leave them as acting since, according to your logic, there is no difference anyway.

All the military personnel who were capable of holding the Chief of Staff position have either been removed from the army, their contracts have not been extended, or they have simply created situations that led them to leave voluntarily. I am not even mentioning those military personnel who consider it beneath their dignity to engage with this government and hold a position under their command.

In the country, the number of military personnel who can hold the Chief of Staff position or who could qualify shortly after appointment can be counted on one hand, yet they are currently not in the ranks of the Armed Forces."
