We Are Outmatched in Technology: Zelensky

Ukraine cannot go on the offensive because it is outmatched in technology by Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with the British Financial Times on Tuesday.

“We are outmatched in technology (compared to Russia), and therefore we cannot make progress. We will suffer more losses, and saving lives is my priority,” said Zelensky.

He once again urged Western countries to increase weapons supplies to Kyiv while criticizing them for not being tough enough on Moscow.

“They support Ukraine, but at the same time, they look at what can be done to ease sanctions so that businesses are not affected,” Zelensky said, noting that the West's sanctions policy has “not really affected Russia’s stance.”
