Russian Passports to Be Issued in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Region

As part of the special operation that started in Ukraine, the southern and central areas of the Zaporizhzhia region are under the control of Russian military forces. The regional center continues to remain under Kyiv's control.

"We have selected several areas in the cities of the Zaporizhzhia region. These include Berdyansk, Enerhodar, and other localities, where passport offices will open in the near future," said Alexey Selivanov, deputy head of the regional administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to TASS.

He added that the opening of new centers will not only allow residents of Melitopol to apply for Russian citizenship but also residents from various districts in the region.
