Recent Migration Trends: More People Departing Armenia Than Arriving
During the first four months of this year, a total of 618,313 individuals entered Armenia, while 624,368 left the country. This resulted in a negative balance of 6,055 for the Republic of Armenia. This indicates that in the first four months of this year, more people left Armenia than arrived by a margin of 6,055. These statistics were published by the Statistical Committee, providing an overview of the socio-demographic situation for the same period in 2022.
It is noted that out of the 618,313 individuals who entered Armenia, 260,564 were Armenian citizens, whereas of the 624,368 who departed, 260,564 were also Armenian citizens, leading to a more negative balance of 21,299 for this category. The highest number of departures and arrivals was recorded in April.
