Did Volodin Refuse to Meet with the Opposition? Khmoyan on the Invitation

A document circulating online is addressed to the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, in which the Armenian opposition is requesting a meeting. However, according to the same sources, Volodin has rejected the request, and the meeting did not take place.

Auroranews.am contacted Agnesa Khmoyan, a member of the Armenia faction in the parliament. In a conversation with us, she stated that a few days ago, their colleagues confirmed that they had sent a letter to Volodin, and they clarified the content of the letter, revealing everything since there was nothing to hide.

The two opposition factions in the National Assembly sent a letter to Vyacheslav Volodin, who is presiding over the CSTO council meeting, informing him that they do not consider it appropriate to participate in the meeting and the situation. In the letter, they expressed hope that it would be possible to organize meetings with representatives and leaders of the two opposition factions of the National Assembly to present the Armenian opposition's positions on agenda issues.

Khmoyan also mentioned that, according to her information, Volodin left immediately after the meeting.

It turns out that the document is real, the opposition has discussed this matter, and the meeting did not take place because, according to Khmoyan, Volodin left right after the meeting.
