Surenn Papikyan Sees No Threat of New War Against Azerbaijan
There is currently no visible threat of a new war with Azerbaijan. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, during a live broadcast on Public TV. In this way, he assessed the periodic incidents occurring along the border and the misinformation spread by the opposing side.
“As a rule, the Armed Forces of Armenia violate the ceasefire regime by silencing the opponent. This means that if there is shooting, it is not initiated by us. Of course, I am confident that the representatives of the Armed Forces of the neighboring country will behave in a similar manner, and we will be able to maintain even a slightly peaceful situation today towards a stable peace,” he said.
According to the minister, the Armed Forces of Armenia must be prepared to ensure peace in any situation.
