Photos: Poaching Incident in Ararat Region Reveals Dead Nubian Goat Listed in the Red Book
The Ararat division of the police is currently preparing documents regarding a poaching incident that occurred on June 2 in the Ararat region. According to Shamshyan.com, on that day, a resident of the Ararat region, 33-year-old Manuk M., reported to the police that around 2:20 PM, he noticed a dead animal of the Nubian goat species, injured, in a water channel next to the Arpa-Sevan dam, on the right side of the road leading to the Khosrov Forest State Reserve.
Following the report, an operational group from the Ararat police division, led by Deputy Head Stepanian, arrived at the scene. The investigation at the site was conducted by investigator Gevorgyan from the criminal investigation department of the same division.
According to G. Shamshyan, the informant Manuk M. works for the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values.
