Military Academy Graduates to Receive Free Housing

Starting this year, military academy graduates will receive housing free of charge. This was stated by Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan in an interview with Public TV.

According to him, this applies specifically to the V. Sargsyan Military University and the Military Aviation University. “This means that they are obligated to serve the homeland for 20 years. The housing is provided with all rights except for the right to sell. Upon completion of the 20-year contract, they will have ownership rights,” Papikyan noted, adding that there are accumulated obligations towards service members over the years.

He also mentioned that a new modified system will be introduced in the field of military education. “The gaps that existed during the 44-day war need to be rectified thanks to the new educational system,” the minister declared.
