French Renault Factory in Moscow Officially Renamed to 'Moskvich'

The former Renault automobile factory in Moscow has officially been renamed to 'Moskvich', according to TASS, referencing data from the unified state register of legal entities.

Changes were made to the register on June 3. According to the extract from the registration journal, the 'Renault Russia' LLC automobile plant has been renamed to 'Moscow Automobile Plant Moskvich' LLC.

Previously, Moscow's Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that the Renault Russia plant, now property of the Moscow government, will produce cars under the 'Moskvich' brand.
