Ukrainian Authorities Plan to Resume Football Championships in August
Ukrainian authorities have decided to resume the national football championship in August, announced Andriy Pavelko, the head of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF). Last season, the national championship was halted following the start of Russia's special operation in Ukraine. It was determined that the season would not be completed.
“Together with President Volodymyr Zelensky, we have decided that the Ukrainian championship will resume in August. Football competitions will take place at all levels. These include the Premier League, the first and second professional divisions, as well as the women’s championship. We will start in August; the decision has been coordinated with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Pavelko’s words were quoted by the Associated Press.
