Baku and Tehran to Jointly Exploit the Shah Deniz Gas Field

Iran and Azerbaijan will jointly exploit the Shah Deniz gas field. According to Azerbaijani media reports, this was announced by Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji. This gas field is located in the Azerbaijani section of the Caspian Sea. Owji referred to the Iran-Azerbaijan partnership in the Shah Deniz project as a good experience for joint operations in the Caspian oil and gas fields.

He noted that developing relationships with all countries, especially neighboring ones, is a key principle of the foreign policy of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's administration.
