Meteorologists Declare Orange Alert in 60 Departments of France

French meteorologists have declared the second to last (orange) level of weather danger due to severe weather conditions affecting two-thirds of the European part of France. This was stated in a report released by the Meteo France meteorological service.

The announcement pertains to 60 departments located in the southwestern, central, and northern parts of the country. Additionally, a yellow alert level has been issued for another 23 departments. The warning will remain in effect in most departments until Sunday morning.

On Saturday night, strong thunderstorms occurred in the northwest of France, specifically in the Côtes-d'Armor and Ille-et-Vilaine departments. Despite the orange alert not being declared for these areas, rescuers have made around 350 interventions due to adverse weather conditions, as reported by the Telegram internet portal.
