Biden's Clear Objective: Blinken
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken assures that the West does not seek to prolong military actions in Ukraine and calls on Russia to end its special military operation in the country.
“We once again call on President Putin to immediately cease this conflict and all the suffering and global turmoil that his chosen war has caused. Neither the United States nor our allies and partners are seeking to extend this war to harm Russia,” Blinken stated.
According to the leader of American foreign policy, the U.S. has “immense respect for the citizens of Russia” and does not see them as enemies, wishing them a worthy future.
At the same time, Blinken emphasizes the U.S. desire to help strengthen Ukraine's military capabilities. “As President Biden has stated, our goal is clear: The United States wants a democratic, independent, sovereign, and prosperous Ukraine as a means of deterring and protecting against future aggression,” the statement reads.
According to Blinken, the U.S. supports Ukraine and will help it defend “its sovereignty and territorial integrity” and “rebuild after the end of this war.”
“Ukraine will win,” the Secretary of State declared.
