Who is the Acting Director of Yerevan Metro?

According to a decision by Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan, Sahak Vardanyan has been appointed as the acting director of the 'Karen Demirchyan Yerevan Metro' LLC.

Sahak Vardanyan was born in May 1981 in Yerevan. From 1987 to 1997, he graduated from Yerevan's Samvel Gevorgyan Secondary School No. 189. He studied at the Armenian State University of Economics in the Faculty of General Economics from 1997 to 2002.

From 2002 to 2005, he pursued a PhD at the Armenian State University of Economics, specializing in 'Economics of the Branches of the Economy and Management'. In 2005, he defended his doctoral thesis at the Armenian State University of Economics and obtained a PhD in economics.

From 2002 to 2009, he worked at 'IMEX GROUP' as an advertising specialist, brand manager, and later as the head of the analytics department. From 2009 to 2013, he was the director of 'Ideal System' showrooms within 'IMEX GROUP'.

From 2013 to 2017, he served as the operational director at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Between 2018 and 2021, he worked as the deputy director at the Plant Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia named after A. Takhtajyan. From 2021 to 2022, he held the position of commercial deputy director at 'Barsis' LLC.

He is married and has two children.
