Melikset Poghosyan's Son and Surik Khachatryan's Associates Have Reached a Reconciliation

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that Melikset Poghosyan's son, the former governor of Syunik, along with close associates of former governor Surik Khachatryan, have managed to reach an agreement and reconcile.

As is known, on the night of July 15, 2021, gunfire erupted in the city of Goris, resulting in one of Surik Khachatryan's associates being injured and taken to Yerevan for medical treatment.

Subsequently, it became known that the focal point of the shooting involved Melikset Poghosyan's son, Karen Poghosyan, as both parties had a longstanding conflict.

Now, almost a year after the incident, the parties have managed to come to a reconciliation, and representatives of law enforcement are reportedly doing everything possible to prevent the criminal case from advancing to court.

Additionally, it should be noted that Melikset Poghosyan currently holds the position of advisor to the Minister of Defense of Armenia, while his son is at liberty. This raises questions about whether their connection to the government might serve as a reason for attempting to cover up the criminal case.
