Citizens Already Hitting with Stones; Deputy Police Chief Uses Stun Grenades

Citizens were already hitting with stones. For this reason, special measures were applied. This was stated by the Deputy Police Chief of Armenia, Aram Hovhannisyan, when discussing the use of stun grenades by the police.

"It was not a peaceful demonstration," noted the deputy police chief.

In response, Ishkhan Saghatelyan demanded that the police clear the road and allow the march to continue. The police asked the people to step back a little, promising to open the road in return.

It is recalled that participants of the peaceful demonstration near the government summer residences wanted to march towards the National Assembly, but the police did not allow them. A clash began between the police and the citizens. The police used special measures.
