Akan Attempts to Follow Government Orders: 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper reports: The acting mayor of Vanadzor, Arkadi Peleshyan, appointed by Nikol Pashinyan, is trying to fulfill the government's orders since the day of his appointment, aiming to bring the opposition council members into his domain so that they can hold meetings to approve the regulations, staffing schedule, and the community budget.
However, Akan, who is linked to the criminal world, is facing challenges in this effort. If the planned 'abduction' was successful, they would have quickly summoned a council meeting to approve the community budget.
Recall that after the arrest of Mamikon Aslanyan, the court prohibited council meetings until July 15 at the request of Edmon Marukyan, the ambassador for special missions for Pashinyan's government, and rejected the 'Aslanyan Alliance's' application for permission to convene a meeting.
Yet since the authorities have little regard for the court and the law, they would quickly hold an urgent meeting as soon as they have a majority on the council.
