Russian Companies Authorized to Produce Airbus and Boeing Spare Parts

Russian companies have been granted permission to manufacture spare parts for foreign Airbus and Boeing aircraft that have been adapted for use in Russia. This has been reported by Vedomosti, citing a source close to the Federal Air Transport Agency.

In April and May, Rosaviatsiya issued certificates to five companies as aircraft designers, allowing them to make modifications, certify minor changes, and issue technical documentation. “Such a certificate enables enterprises to work with foreign aircraft,” notes the newspaper.

The companies will focus on replacing the import of internal components, passenger seats, or kitchen equipment.
